Membership Application

All members must support the Purposes of the Trust. Ordinary Members are at least 18 years old and live in Winchburgh. Junior Members are 13 -17 years old. Associate Members are 18 years or older and do not live in Winchburgh. All Members have the right to attend Annual and Extra-ordinary General Meetings. Junior and Associate members cannot stand for election to the Board and do not have a vote at meetings

The more members we have, the more likely we are to have successful funding bids

The purposes of the Trust are:

  • To advance community development, including urban or rural regeneration within the Community;
  • To advance the education of the Community about its environment, culture, heritage and/or history;
  • To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community:
  • To provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the objective of improving the conditions of life of the Community; and
  • To manage Community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general.

The “Community” comprises Winchburgh, Niddry, Fauchledean and Glendevon with associated rural properties.
